Northwest Culinary Institute has a team dedicated to helping graduates find just the right career opportunity.
Northwest Culinary Institute is recognized as an excellent source of trained and qualified candidates for the culinary industry. We regularly receive inquiries from restaurants, resorts, and other food-service establishments seeking to interview our graduates.
Our Career Services Department maintains an excellent working relationship with key employers and recruitment personnel throughout the industry.
On an individual basis, we work with our students to help prepare them for job interviews in several ways including:
- Assisting students in writing a professional resume and cover letter
- Practicing individual and group interview techniques
- Teaching confidence and helping students make positive first impressions
- Connecting students with industry hiring managers and recruiters
At Northwest Culinary Institute, we strive for our students’ success. Our ultimate goal is to educate, train, and prepare students for an exciting career path that contributes to a rewarding occupation.
Our students are trained through various hands-on experiences and graduate with the skills they’ll use to compete for jobs in their industry. Because we work with employers who favor our unique instruction, we utilize our reputation to promote our professional, skilled graduates.
Internships
Our program has arrangements with local restaurants. Throughout the last four weeks of training, students put all of their training into practical application through internships. With these arrangements, our students earn on-the-job experience in the culinary field before even graduating.
Job Placement
At Northwest Culinary Institute, we train our students in a unique manner, which effectively prepares them for careers in the culinary industry. Graduates of NCI are taught to work in many different culinary positions such as sous chef, line chef, and catering at numerous restaurant and foodservice establishments.
